New arrival soon

No, I'm not pregnant. Nor is my wife. But my new camera should be arriving within the next few days. Here are a few of my latest dpchallenge entries. They didn't score so well but the private emails telling me they thought the voters are insane are good enough for me. I'm easily pleased and I would still highly encourage anyone who wishes to learn more about photography to join dpchallenge. It's educational and you get to meet great people. thanks everyone.

Rain

Self confession: I enjoy rain. It brings upon a sense of calmness that is inspiring and soothing. I enjoy walking in the rain because others don't. Todays photo taken in my last walk during the rain.

UP

The news is final and I'm sorry to tell everyone but I did not get the new job I was hoping for. It would have been a good change for me but as long as I can still capture moments such as todays photo on beautiful days all will be good. Hey, is anyone out there looking to hire someone. I have a Masters (library & Information Management) and BS(History/Anthropology). I'm open for offers. I only have 1 year left on my work contract with my current University working in Student Affairs and I'd like something more permanent. Preferrably in central Illinois.

Latest DPC entry

Many people saw this photo and said it was 'freaky', including my wife. She asked me to put the mask I used away because it was too 'freaky' to leave on the kitchen table. The work itself represents myself when I feel as though I blend into my surroundings and and feel like just a part of the world around me rather than an individual that has something to contribute. I think we all have those days every once in awhile.
